DELTA – The inmate who escaped from the Delta Correctional Center over a week ago is still at large.

The Colorado Department of Corrections confirmed 44-year-old Adam Loehr had escaped from a correctional facility on March 9. Authorities did not realize Loehr was missing until a 10 p.m. inmate count that night.

In an updated flyer, police noted that Loehr’s appearance has changed slightly since he escaped.

Loehr has a bald head and only a goatee now, instead of a full beard that appears in his mugshot.

The Delta County Sheriff’s Office received reports of possible sightings of Loehr in the Grand Junction area last Monday but the trail quickly turned cold again.

Loehr was last seen on camera wearing green prison-issued pants and a shirt with white thermals underneath, no coat, and black tennis shoes.

Loehr is convicted of criminal impersonation, attempting to influence a public officer, substance abuse, and menacing out of El Paso County.

Police say this offender should be considered dangerous.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of this fugitive should call the CDOC Emergency Operations Center at 719-226-4001 or call crime stoppers.
