COLORADO – While working on another incident, a Colorado State Patrol car with a trooper inside was hit by a car on Hwy. 160 near Cortez.
Both the trooper and the other driver were transported to Mercy with non-life threatening injuries.
An investigation is underway. We will continue to bring you updates as we work to learn more.
This wreck serves as another reminder to move over and slow down when you see police officers pulled over on the side of the road, especially in dangerous travel conditions.
