Wildfire smoke will bring a haze to the sky in southern Colorado

Today’s Forecast:
A breezy, dry cold front will move through southern Colorado this morning. This will bring down high temperatures by about 5 degrees. But the biggest change it'll cause is bringing back wildfire smoke to our region.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 82; Low: 25. AIR QUALITY ALERT in place until Thursday morning due to wildfire smoke. Slightly cooler today but with a hazy sky. Breezy northerly winds through the early afternoon.

PUEBLO: High: 87; Low: 30. Dry and warm today, but staying out of the 90s. The sky will be slightly hazy.

CANON CITY: High: 84; Low: 30. Today will be slightly cooler with a hazy sky and breezy winds.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 73; Low: 20. Comfortable temperatures today. but with a hazy sky and breezy winds.

TRI-LAKES: High: 70s; Low: 20s. Upper 70s today with gusty winds through the early afternoon. Hazy conditions in the sky.

PLAINS: High: 80s; Low: 20s. Mid to upper 80s in the eastern plains today with breezy northerly winds this morning.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 70s; Low: 20s. Upper 70s today with breezy winds through early afternoon.

Extended Outlook:
A thicker plume of smoke will move into southern Colorado tonight, bringing another hazy day Thursday and potentially Friday as well. Temperatures will stay above average in the 70s and 80s through the end of the week.
