Today’s Forecast:
Wind advisories are in place this morning along the mountains and foothills today from Douglas to Jefferson county, up north to Estes Park and west of Fort Collins. The wind advisory will expire by noon, but until then wind gusts up to 70 mph will be possible down the foothills and across Highway 105 & I-25. Down at the lower elevations we will see much more pleasant weather with lots of sunshine, lighter winds, and highs into the 50s!
COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 52; Low: 25. Sunny skies with breezy winds at the foothills and lighter winds through town, along with warm daytime temperatures.
PUEBLO: High: 56; Low: 18. Sunny skies with light winds and very warm daytime temperatures.
CANON CITY: High: 55; Low: 29. Sunny and windy with gusts between 20 to 30 mph during the day and warm daytime temperatures.
WOODLAND PARK: High: 45; Low: 21. Sunny and windy today with wind gusts, especially in the morning, between 20 to 30 mph, along with mild daytime temperatures.
TRI-LAKES: High: 40s; Low: 20s. Sunny and windy today with the strongest winds expected west of the Tri Lakes out over the foothills, and warm daytime temperatures.
PLAINS: High: 50s; Low: 20s. Sunny with light winds and above average daytime temperatures.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 40/50s; Low: 20s. Sunny and breezy today with warmer than normal daytime temperatures.
Extended Outlook:
Increasing clouds are expected on Wednesday, especially in and around the mountains with more wind blowing in and out of the high country. We'll be much warmer tomorrow with highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s through the lower elevations. Thursday is going to be breezy and cooler, but with dry skies here at home. Snow will start falling in the mountains on Thursday, with light snow falling across southern Colorado by Friday.
