We're looking at a windy and warm day through southern Colorado with highs expected to climb into the 50s and 60s through the afternoon. The winds will be gusty coming out of the mountains and valleys today, but we'll see even stronger winds tonight as a cold front moves through the region.
COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 59; Low: 29. Sunny skies to start the day with clouds to finish along with gusty winds and warm daytime temperatures.
PUEBLO: High: 61; Low: 30. Windy with mostly sunny skies and some clouds mixed in at times. We should have very warm daytime temperatures.
CANON CITY: High: 59; Low: 32. Windy with warm air and sunshine mixed with clouds in the afternoon.
WOODLAND PARK: High: 49; Low: 21. Chilly and windy today with a sunny start and a cloudy afternoon.
TRI-LAKES: High: 50s; Low: 20s. Windy and mild today with dry skies.
PLAINS: High: 50s; Low: 20s. Breezy and warm today with morning sunshine and evening cloud cover.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 50s; Low: 20s. Wind at times, especially from La Veta Pass out to Walsenburg with warm temperatures.
MOUNTAINS: High: 40s; Low: 20s. We are going to be windy today with strong gusty flow out of the west off the mountains with foothill and summit gusts over 40 mph. We'll be mild and dry today and tonight.
Extended Outlook:
We are going to stay cold, windy, and dry through most of the extended forecast. We'll see a chance for flurries in Teller County on Saturday, but most of that weak snow will stay west. There's another small chance for snow on Sunday in the Pikes Peak Region, but at this point, it looks only like weak flurries.
