Today’s Forecast:
It's going to be another busy day across southern Colorado with extremely high fire danger, lots of wind, and strong to severe storms across the eastern plains. The winds will be gusting into the 30 to 40 mph range this afternoon across the mountains and the plains, keeping Red Flag Warnings in place through the evening. Severe storm potential remains greatest across the eastern plains from the afternoon to the early evening.
Our severe potential today is once again greatest over the eastern plains. I think storms will fire somewhere east of Crowley and Otero county and travel northeast. Large hail, 50 to 60 mph wind gusts, and even an isolated tornado are all possible in these storms pic.twitter.com/orax5MyH3C
