It's going to be a very cold evening heading into tomorrow morning with wind chills expected to be in the single digits to below zero. A few leftover flurries are possible over far southeast Colorado in Baca County.
COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 28; Low: 13. Cold and wind are the main two weather impacts for Colorado Springs today and tonight. We could see light flurries today but no accumulation is expected. The winds will keep gusting in the 20 - 35 mph range today and wind chills will remain in the teens to the single digits and even a brief dip in the negatives overnight through early Thursday morning.
PUEBLO: High: 35; Low: 10. Very windy and cold Wednesday. We won't see any snow accumulation, but wind chills will be a big issue. Wind chill values will stay in the teens and single digits today and tonight.
CANON CITY: High: 33; Low: 13. Windy and cold today with a few stray snowflakes and flurries but with no extra accumulation expected. We'll be colder tonight but with lighter winds.
WOODLAND PARK: High: 17; Low: 6. A windy and very cold day with a low chance for stray flurries during the day. We'll see wind chills all day and night stay in the single digits and negatives.
TRI-LAKES: High: 10s; Low: 0-10. Wind chills will likely stay in the single digits or negatives most of tonight. It'll be extremely cold tomorrow morning but with lighter winds.
PLAINS: High: 30s; Low: 10s. Snow fell today with strong north winds gusts between 25 to 40 mph with some snow falling this evening.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 20s; Low: 10s. A windy day along I-25 from Walsenburg to Trinidad with some snow accumulations that were pretty light.
MOUNTAINS: High: 20s; Low: 0-10. It's was breezy in the southern mountains today and out near towns like Salida and La Veta. Overnight lows will be dangerously cold but with lighter winds.
Extended Outlook:
After a very cold start, Thursday morning temperatures will moderate from late morning into mid-afternoon with mostly sunny skies. Breezy winds out of the north are expected Thursday from 10- 15 mph. It will be sunny and even warmer on Friday, and the weekend will be sunny with unseasonably warm temperatures.
