Today’s Forecast:
The weather is pretty simple today as we're just going to see a lot of sunshine and warmth across the region. We'll get a breeze in the afternoon but not enough to prompt any fire concerns. We'll see highs in the 80s and lower 90s across the lower elevations which is above the average temperature for this time of year.
There could be a few isolated thunderstorms in and around the mountains today, particularly the Sangre De Cristos, but most of us should stay dry, maybe just feel some gusty winds under bigger clouds.
COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 84; Low: 52. Sunny with a few clouds through the day, breezy, and warm.
PUEBLO: High: 90; Low: 50. Sunny and hot in the afternoon with dry skies expected and a light breeze during the day.
CANON CITY: High: 86; Low: 55. Sunny and warm with a light breeze throughout the day.
WOODLAND PARK: High: 76; Low: 44. Sunny and beautiful with dry skies expected, but a weak thunderstorm could push down gusty winds instead of rain.
TRI-LAKES: High: 70s; Low: 40s. Sunny with a few clouds and dry skies.
PLAINS: High: 80/90s; Low: 50s. Sunny and hot with a light afternoon breeze.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 80s; Low: 50s. Mostly sunny and breezy with a few storms possible out west around the Sangre De Cristos in the afternoon.
Extended Outlook:
We're going to be hot and likely see record temperatures on Thursday and Friday for Colorado Springs and Pueblo. We'll cool down slightly on Saturday but we'll feel more like fall on Sunday and Monday. Some of the coolest air will occur next Tuesday and Wednesday from a strong cold front.
