Today’s Forecast:

Snow fell overnight but we saw wildly varying amounts through the region. Downtown Colorado Springs saw basically nothing, where northern El Paso County by Black Forest was close to 4 inches!

Snow will keep falling south of Pueblo through the early morning so we can expect plenty of slick drives on I-25 not only north to Denver, but also south of Pueblo to Trinidad. The Wet Mountains and La Veta area will also be areas to watch early this morning. The rest of the day will be dry and cold under sunny skies in the afternoon.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 40; Low: 18. Slick in northern El Paso county this morning before the sun comes out and melts the roads down as temperatures rise above freezing this afternoon.

PUEBLO: High: 46; Low: 14. Slick drives expected south in the county all the way down to Trinidad with dry and sunny afternoon conditions.

CANON CITY: High: 43; Low: 23. Dry and cold today with afternoon sunshine and generally light winds.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 31; Low: 13. A few slick drives in the county today with dry and sunny afternoon conditions.

TRI-LAKES: High: 30s; Low: 10s. Really slick and icy drives in the region along I-25, Highway 50 as well as 83 in the morning but dry and cold in the afternoon.

PLAINS: High: 40s; Low: 20s. A few slick drives near the interstate today but most of the plains will be dry and cold with gusty winds.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 30s; Low: 20s. Really slick morning drives with snow lingering through the morning followed by dry, sunny afternoon conditions.

MOUNTAINS: High: 30s; Low: 20s. Early snow in the Wet and Sangres followed by a cloudy and cold day with occasional gusty winds.

Extended Outlook:
We should stay dry through the weekend and see a warm up to the 50s by Sunday. A cold front Monday will make it chilly and windy with the next chance for snow next Wednesday.
