It is a weather alert day in Colorado, with severe thunderstorms likely this evening and tonight. The area of highest risk will be Pueblo and El Paso county along I-25 and east into the plains up to the Kansas state line.
Storms have the potential for hail and damaging wind, and a tornado cannot be ruled out. Heavy rain may lead to flash flooding.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 83; Low: 54. Slightly cooler today with breezy winds. A severe thunderstorm is possible this evening between 3-6 pm.
PUEBLO: High: 87; Low: 58. A bit cooler today, just below average. A strong to severe thunderstorm is possible this evening between 4-7 pm.
CANON CITY: High: 86; Low: 58. Nice day with slightly cooler temperatures. After lunch time, thunderstorms will develop and quickly move east.
WOODLAND PARK: High: 73; Low: 49. Mild today with clouds. Thunderstorms will develop in the area between 1-4 pm and move east.
TRI-LAKES: High: 70s; Low: 50s. Mid to upper 70s today with likely high impact thunderstorms this afternoon. Storms possible between 2-5 pm.
PLAINS: High: 90s; Low: 50s/60s. Reaching the low to mid 90s today with calm conditions during the day, but from 7-11 pm strong thunderstorms will move through the plains, likely along HWY 50 and north to I-70.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 80s; Low: 50s. Upper 80s today with a few spotty thunderstorms in the afternoon, with a lower severe weather threat.
Extended Outlook:
Saturday will be warmer with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms, which are looking a bit weaker. Sunday is trending dry and hot with partly cloudy conditions.
