We have a bit of an unsettled weather pattern through the region today with a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon, and even a few flurries over the mountains. We'll be mostly dry through the morning, although a few early flurries off the mountain summits remains likely. Rain this afternoon will be very scattered through the plains, meaning not everyone will see rain. There could be a stronger thunderstorms in the far southeast plains by Powers and Baca Counties.
COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 54; Low: 32. Cloudy and cool today with stronger afternoon winds and isolated daytime showers across the city.
PUEBLO: High: 62; Low: 32. Building clouds and wind through the day with scattered showers and even a rumble of thunder in the afternoon.
CANON CITY: High: 59; Low: 35. Increasing clouds and wind through the daytime with a chance for isolated showers in the afternoon.
WOODLAND PARK: High: 46; Low: 27. Cloudy and cold with a few stray flakes in the morning, but a better chance for a rain to snow mix in the afternoon and early evening.
TRI-LAKES: High: 40s; Low: 20s. Stronger winds under cloudy skies in the afternoon, with daytime scattered rain showers.
PLAINS: High: 60s; Low: 30s. Building clouds and wind in the afternoon with widespread but scattered showers and thunderstorms, the strongest of which could be in Baca and Prowers counties.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 50s; Low: 30s. Windy today with scattered showers returning in the afternoon under cloudy skies.
Extended Outlook:
We are going to be dry, but windy over the next two days. We'll be windier on Tuesday with more sunshine, but warmer overall on Wednesday. Thursday is going to become cloudy with rain and snow arriving overnight into early Friday morning. We'll be windy and warmer by Saturday and Sunday.
