Rollercoaster ride of temperatures ahead for southern Colorado

Tonight's Forecast:
The eastern plains will see low clouds and patchy fog overnight. Further west, expect to be partly cloudy tonight. Temperatures will be above average overnight.

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low: 39; High: 69. Breezy in the afternoon with temperatures dropping in the late afternoon as a front moves in.

PUEBLO: Low: 34; High: 78. Red Flag Warning with dry air and breezy winds as a front moves in through the afternoon.

CANON CITY: Low: 42; High: 76. Red Flag Warning with dry air and gusty winds.

WOODLAND PARK: Low: 34; High: 62. Nice start to the day and quickly cooling in the late afternoon with a cold front blowing in.

TRI-LAKES: Low: 30s; High: 60s. Warm start and breezy before an afternoon cold front drops temperatures.

PLAINS: Low: 30s/40s; High: 60s/70s. Counties south of HWY 50 will see Red Flag Warnings Thursday. Breezy in the evening as a cold front arrives from the north.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low: 50s; High: 70s. Red Flag warning with warm dry air. Temperatures drop with an evening cold front.

Extended Outlook:
Thursday's afternoon/evening cold front will drastically drop temperatures for Friday to the 30s and 40s for highs. Temperatures swing back up on Saturday before plummeting again Sunday. Snow continues to look possible for Sunday into Monday. Stay tuned as data confidence increases.
