Tonight’s Forecast:
Labor Day Weekend is the unofficial end of summer, but that doesn’t mean Mother Nature is done with us quite yet! A few isolated showers and storms will linger into the early evening hours. Some low clouds will linger around the area overnight, otherwise mostly clear with temperatures in the lower 60s and upper 50s.
On Sunday, high pressure will be the dominant weather feature, but with a northwest flow over the mountains, and lingering moisture and cloud cover at the surface, there will be some isolated showers and storms in the high country. Along I-25 and the Eastern Plains, temperatures will come close to tying records, but will fall just short. Mostly sunny by the afternoon as highs climb into the lower and upper 90s.

Extended Outlook:
A little warmer for Labor day as we expect to potentially tie existing record highs along I-25. What again could keep us from reaching that goal is any cloud development late in the afternoon. On Tuesday, a cold front slides on through and cools us off. By mid-to-late week, high pressure will once again turn on the moisture from the Pacific and increase the chances for showers and thunderstorms. Saturday could prove to be even more interesting as a cold front approaches from the North with the potential to cool us off by 10-15 degrees. Stay tuned for the latest on next weekend…
