Today’s Forecast:
Fog and drizzle have made an appearance across southern Colorado this morning, but they won't stick around very long. Slowly warming skies and a switch of the winds to the south will allow the fog and mist to disappear by the mid to late morning. We'll be cloudy today but the hope is that more sunshine breaks out through the second part of the day. The winds will be stronger in the afternoon but the humidity is high enough that we aren't worried about fires.
COLORADO SPRINGS: High - 79; Low - 55. Morning fog and mist with a warm, dry, and windy afternoon.
PUEBLO: High - 85; Low - 56. Cool and cloudy in the morning with sunny skies, warm air, and stronger winds in the afternoon.
CANON CITY: High - 84; Low - 58. Mild with patchy fog outside of town in the morning, followed by a warm and breezy afternoon.
WOODLAND PARK: High - 75; Low - 48. Patchy fog and mist in the morning with a mild and breezy afternoon.
TRI-LAKES: High - 70s; Low - 40s. Morning fog and mist with a mild, dry, and breezy afternoon.
PLAINS: High - 80s; Low - 50s. A mix of clouds and sunshine today with warmer and windier conditions in the afternoon.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High - 80s; Low - 50s. Patchy fog this morning with sunnier and windier skies through the afternoon.
Extended Outlook:
We'll see clearer skies overnight with cloud cover returning through Friday morning and overcast skies into Friday afternoon. Rain is possible on Friday, mostly over the high terrain in the Pikes Peak Region like Teller county, but also near the Wet Mountains. The winds will be on the strong side Friday as a cold front pushes highs down about 5 degrees cooler than we'll see today. Saturday should see another cold front move highs down into the low 70s in Colorado Springs and upper 70s for Pueblo. Sunday looks hot and windy with a large cool down into the mid 60s and 70s by next Tuesday.
