Today’s Forecast:
The weather is turning HOT today and tomorrow with highs soaring into the 80s and lower 90s across the lower elevations. We do have high fire danger in the San Luis Valley today, with active Red Flag Warnings expiring this evening. The winds will be a bit gustier this afternoon, but you'll still get hot easily working outside. Bring lots of water and wear sunscreen if you're out this afternoon.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 85; Low: 53. Hot with morning sunshine and thicker afternoon clouds, and high temperatures likely about 2 degrees shy of a new heat record.

PUEBLO: High: 92; Low: 52. Very hot with sunny skies and a bit more cloud cover into the afternoon, and highs likely about a degree shy of record heat.

CANON CITY: High: 90; Low: 54. Very hot today with breezy afternoon conditions and increasing cloud cover through the day.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 77; Low: 45. Very warm and dry today across Woodland Park with building clouds into the afternoon.

TRI-LAKES: High: 70s; Low: 40s. Very warm later today with increasing afternoon clouds and gusty daytime winds.

PLAINS: High: 90s; Low: 50s. Hot with sunny skies and scattered clouds into the afternoon. Bring extra water if you're working outside later today and wear sunscreen.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 80s; Low: 50s. Hot with breezy daytime conditions and increasing cloud cover into the afternoon.

Extended Outlook:
Friday looks incredibly similar to today, with increasing afternoon cloud cover and more very warm to hot temps. We'll see a cooler weekend with storm chances now looking best on Saturday. Sunday looks dry and warm, with Monday looking similar. A cold front Monday night will push highs down into the 60s and 70s.
