Today is going to be hotter and drier overall, but there will still be plenty of moisture out in the mountains. Most of the rain today will stay out west of I-25, but a few stray showers and storms could develop in border mountain towns like Colorado Springs or Canon City.
COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 90; Low: 61. Hot today with a small chance for spotty, non-severe storms in the afternoon.
PUEBLO: High: 97; Low: 64. Very hot today and likely just dry and breezy in the afternoon.
CANON CITY: High: 93; Low: 65. Hot today with a small chance for spotty, non-severe storms in the afternoon.
WOODLAND PARK: High: 80; Low: 53. Warm with a chance for showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.
TRI-LAKES: High: 80s; Low: 50s. Warm and mostly dry but a stray afternoon shower or thunderstorm will still be possible.
PLAINS: High: 90s; Low: 60s. Very hot across the eastern plains and dry other than a stray storm that forms off the Raton Mesa down in eastern Las Animas County.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 80s; Low: 60s. Hot today with a small chance for spotty, non-severe storms in the afternoon, although most of the moisture will be west of I-25 into the mountains.
Extended Outlook:
Thursday looks like a duplicate of today with hot daytime temperatures and most of our rain staying out west of I-25. We'll start to see increasing rain chances from Friday through the early part of next week with temperatures cooling through the weekend into Monday and Tuesday.
