TRI-LAKES: High: 90s; Low: 50s. Hot in the low 90s today with partly cloudy skies. An isolated thunderstorm is possible in the afternoon.
PLAINS: High: 90s/100s; Low: 60s. Hot in the upper 90s and 100s today. The day will be mostly dry with a couple of thunderstorms possible in the evening, favoring zones east of La Junta.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 90s; Low: 60s. Low 90s today with partly cloudy conditions. A few spotty rain showers are possible to the west.

Early Sunday morning a cold front will move in from the northeast, cooling high temperatures by about 10 degrees. Afternoon rain will be heavy in the mountains, with thunderstorms staying strong as they move into the plains.
