Today’s Forecast:
Monday will start cold, dry, and windy but end snowy, especially in our southern mountains! Highs will be in the 30s and 40s today with gust north to northeast winds behind an early morning cold front.

Snow will start tonight and continue through the first part of Tuesday. The energy for this snow is so far west, we think the best snow amounts will fall in the Wets, Sangres, and areas along I-25 south of Colorado City. Raton Pass and La Veta Pass could be pretty rough drives Tuesday morning.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 38; Low: 19. Cloudy, cold, and windy today, especially in the morning. Snow will start falling tonight but for most of the city, snow totals will stay at or below 1 inch. With the energy for this system being so far west, it'll be hard to see totals over an inch except for a few high elevation areas of town.

PUEBLO: High: 43; Low: 18. Cloudy and breezy today with dry skies during the day. Light snow showers and flurries are possible tonight, but snow totals should stay at or below one inch. The heaviest snow is expected south of Pueblo county and also west near the Wet Mountains. Totals should stay at or below 1 inch.

CANON CITY: High: 42; Low: 26. Cloudy, breezy, and cold today with snow overnight through Tuesday morning. Snow will start tonight and linger into early Tuesday morning with roughly 1 to 2 inches expected.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 33; Low: 12. Cloudy and cold today with a light breeze in the afternoon. Snow showers will develop tonight but totals should stay somewhere at or below 2 inches through by Tuesday morning.

TRI-LAKES: High: 30s; Low: 10s. Cloudy, cold, and windy today with dry skies in the afternoon. Snow showers will move in tonight but through Tuesday morning snow totals should stay at or below 2 inches.

PLAINS: High: 40s; Low: 20s. Cold and windy today with dry skies today and tonight. Any snowfall we see tonight in the plains should stay along I-25 and maybe a bit heavier in Las Animas County near Trinidad.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 30s; Low: 10s. Breezy and cold today with moderate to heavy snow tonight through Tuesday. Driving conditions will be bad overnight through the first half of Tuesday from icy and snow-packed roads. The worst drives will be south of Trinidad through Raton Pass but also west of Walsenburg on La Veta Pass.

MOUNTAINS: High: 20s; Low: 10s. Heavy snow is expected tonight through Tuesday morning in the Sangre De Cristo and Wet Mountains as well as the surrounding towns. Some of the biggest totals will show up near La Veta, Cuchara, San Isabel, Rye, and Beulah. Monarch, La Veta, and Raton Pass will all be very slick and dangerous to drive overnight through Tuesday morning.

Extended Outlook:
We'll be dry Tuesday afternoon but with lots of snowy roads south of Pueblo and into the mountains west of I-25. We look to see a bit warm up Wednesday from gusty downslope winds, and but we'll cool down to the 40s by Friday. There's a chance for light snow next Sunday.
