A weak cold front overnight will leave us with a chilly day today, but temperatures in the afternoon shouldn't feel too bad under some sunshine. We'll start with sun and bring clouds in from the northwest by the end of the day and through the overnight hours. Highs will be in the 50s in the plains and the winds will stay pretty light.
COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 52; Low: 22. Mostly sunny to mostly clouds from the start of the day to the end of the day with mild temperatures and light winds.
PUEBLO: High: 56; Low: 17. Mostly sunny with clouds moving in overnight with warm daytime temperatures and light winds.
CANON CITY: High: 54; Low: 28. Warm daytime temperatures and light winds through the afternoon.
WOODLAND PARK: High: 43; Low: 20. A sunny morning and a cloudy afternoon with chilly temperatures and a light breeze.
TRI-LAKES: High: 40s; Low: 10s. Sunny to cloudy through the day with chilly temperatures and a light breeze.
PLAINS: High: 50s; Low: 20s. Mostly sunny today with warm temperatures and a light breeze through the afternoon.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 40s; Low: 20s. Breezy and mostly sunny with cool daytime temperatures.
MOUNTAINS: High: 40s; Low: 10s. Increasing cloud cover today and cold in areas with snow from earlier this week with a gusty breeze at times.
Extended Outlook:
Friday looks colder but dry here across southern Colorado with just a little snow over the mountains. We'll see heavier mountain snow through the weekend but only a chance of light snow to flurries by Sunday. There is another light snow chance early next week on Monday and Tuesday with Tuesday being the best chance for accumulations here in southern Colorado.
