Today’s Forecast:
Fire danger remains high across the mountains west of I-25 with cooler and humid air leading to showers east across the plains. A cold front overnight will lead to a much cooler afternoon across southern Colorado, with southeast winds our only hope to mix the air back into the 60s and 70s later today. Showers are expected across the southeast plains, mainly focused through Baca and Prowers county from the late morning to the early afternoon. Overnight easterly winds will likely bring fog and mist into northern El Paso County by Wednesday morning.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High - 68; Low - 44. A mix of clouds and sun today with dry skies and breezy winds through the afternoon.

PUEBLO: High - 75; Low - 47. Mostly cloudy skies and cool with a stronger breeze in the afternoon. A quick sprinkle around lunch is possible, but most of the rain today is expected much farther east.

CANON CITY: High - 75; Low - 48. A mix of clouds and sun today with dry skies and a stronger breeze in the afternoon.

WOODLAND PARK: High - 66; Low - 37. Clouds in the morning with sunshine and Fall-like temps in the afternoon. Smoke from the Decker Fire may become visible through the afternoon and evening.

TRI-LAKES: High - 60s; Low - 40s. A mix of clouds and sun today with dry skies and breezy winds through the afternoon. Fog and even mist will likely develop after midnight into Wednesday morning.

PLAINS: High - 70s; Low - 40s. Cloudy and cool today across the plains with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Rain is most likely across Baca County, but eastern Las Animas, Bent, and Prowers counties could still see a few light scattered showers.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High - 70s; Low - 40s. A mix of clouds and sun today with high fire danger west over the mountains, and a few showers well east away from Trinidad in Las Animas County over the Raton Mesa.

Extended Outlook:
Fog and mist are likely to come back to the Monument Hill area and possibly Teller County early Wednesday morning, with sunny and dry skies for the rest of the day. Thursday will be quite a bit cooler across the region with lower 60s expected in Colorado Springs and mid 60s for Pueblo. Friday will be warm and windy with cooler weather into the weekend.
