A cool front passing through this morning will work to shave about 4 to 6 degrees off our high temperatures today. We'll be windiest in the early morning as the front passes through with lighter east and southeast winds in the afternoon. Overnight we'll keep the clear skies we see during the day and let lows fall back into the 50s.
COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 80; Low: 53. Gusty in the morning with lighter daytime winds and mild high temperatures.
PUEBLO: High: 86; Low: 53. Breezy in the morning behind the cold front but overall just a nice and warm summer day with lots of sunshine.
CANON CITY: High: 83; Low: 56. A little windier in the afternoon compared to the morning with sunny skies and mild daytime temps.
WOODLAND PARK: High: 75; Low: 46. Sunny with gorgeous temperatures today and breezy conditions off and on through the morning.
TRI-LAKES: High: 70s; Low: 40s. Gusty in the morning behind the cold front with breezy afternoon conditions and nice daytime temperatures.
PLAINS: High: 80s; Low: 50s. Strong gusty winds in the morning for most areas east of El Paso and Pueblo counties behind the cold front but lighter winds and hot warm conditions in the afternoon.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 80s; Low: 50s. Breezy in the afternoon with sunny skies and warm daytime temps.
Extended Outlook:
We're going to be very hot over the weekend with highs in the 90s and even triple digits by Sunday. A strong cold front will knock us back around 30 to 40 degrees on Tuesday with some rain and snow mixed along the Front Range, mostly in the mountains or mountain towns.
