Extended Outlook:
Snow will arrive Thursday morning to the mountains south of I-70, as well as the Sangres, along the Raton Mesa, and out east across the far eastern plains. There could be a wintry mix changeover in the morning for Baca and Prowers county, perhaps leading to a few icy spots. Thursday morning snow will stop around and after lunch, with dry and chilly conditions expected through the evening. The next round of snow will be much more widespread across the Continental Divide on Friday, with a few flurries across western Fremont County, Teller County, and the Sangres and Wets. Any drives west into the high country on Friday in particular, will be very difficult and slow.
