PLAINS: High - 90s; Low - 60s. Very hot and breezy across the plains with spotty "dry" thunderstorms, meaning that dry air will prevent rain from hitting the ground and just push out wind and a stray lightning bolt or two.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High - 90s; Low - 50s. Hot and dry today with a stronger breeze through the afternoon.
Extended Outlook:
Isolated thunderstorms are possible on Friday with hot and dry air taking over through the rest of the weekend. Temperatures will peak by Monday of next week with highs in the mid 90s in Colorado Springs and low 100s in Pueblo.
