Tonight's Forecast:
The wind has been pretty strong today near the mountains, but should weaken significantly this evening. However, with lingering downslope breezes still at play, overnight temperatures will be mild for this time of the year.
COLORADO SPRINGS: Low: 29; High: 56. Winter begins on a mild and dry note. Sunshine returns as well for the start of the work week as highs climb into the middle 50s.
PUEBLO: Low: 25; High: 58. A warm start to winter, with clearing skies and warmer than average highs on Monday.
CANON CITY: Low: 33; High: 58. Morning clouds will give way to afternoon sunshine and way above average highs in the upper 50s.
WOODLAND PARK: Low: 24; High: 47. A little chilly in the morning, but by the afternoon, we'll be treated to mild highs and plenty of sunshine.
TRI-LAKES: Low: 20s; High: 50s. Nothing to complain about weather wise on the first day of winter. We'll see light breezes, sunny afternoon skies and mild daytime highs.
PLAINS: Low: 10s/20s; High: 40s/50s. Mostly sunny and mild on Monday, with highs warming into the upper 40s and 50s across the Plains.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low: 20s; High: 50s. Other than a few morning clouds, our forecast on Monday will be a mild and sunny one.
MOUNTAINS: Low: 10s/20s; High: 30s/40s. The mountains will be much less windy on Monday, with pleasant 30s and 40s for afternoon highs.
Extended Outlook:
Tuesday will be just as mild as Monday, if not a few degrees warmer. Not only will it be warm, it will also be windy on Tuesday as southwesterly winds start to increase over Southern Colorado. As the storm moves through on Wednesday, we'll see a windy and much colder day, with the potential for scattered snow showers.
