Today’s Forecast:
A few flurries ran through the mountains and into the interstate around 3 to 4 am this morning, but with that moisture being gone, we’re setting up for a great day! We start with clouds and see sunshine return quickly through the day, pushing highs back into the 50s and 60s. The winds will be strong outside again today, but no where near as windy as the last few afternoons.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 58; Low – 28. Sunshine returning with winds gusting into the 20 mph range this afternoon with mild temperatures.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 45; Low – 23. Chilly in the afternoon but the sun will return and we’ll see occasional gusts in the 20 mph range.

PLAINS: High – 50/60s; Low – 20s. Windy and warm in areas close to Pueblo county like La Junta, but cooler as you go out east to the plains where highs would be closer to the upper 40s and low 50s with a stiff breeze.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 50s; Low – 30s. Sunshine with gusty winds in the afternoon in the 30 mph range with warm temperatures later today.

EXTENDED OUTLOOK:
A few flurries are possible on Saturday but the bigger story with be the return of stronger winds and much chillier air temperatures, with highs back int the 40s and low 50s. Sunday is going to start dry and sunny but clouds will fill in through the day with snow starting in the evening. Snow will continue to fall through Monday with whatever moisture is left leaving Tuesday morning. The heaviest accumulation is expected on Monday with a deep temperature drop into the teens and low 20s.
