Thursday Evening Forecast; Cold, but a warming trend on the way

Forecast: Temperature-wise, it’s cold. Maybe 15F or more, below average. But, the temps will bottom out tonight and Friday, and begin recovering Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Not quite to “average” Friday, but yes for Saturday. In fact, they will continue to escalate until well above average for Monday & Tuesday of next week!

As for precipitation, just flurries east of the Divide Friday, ending by evening, zero accumulation. (Wets and Sangre’s pick up another 2-4″ above 8000 feet.) After that, no precip in sight for a week!

The forecast is simple. Friday flurry, dry thereafter…with a warming trend.

Much colder Thursday than Wednesday was

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low – 28, High – 46. Mostly cloudy tonight. Ditto Friday with a couple flurries

PUEBLO: Low – 26, High – 52.  Mostly cloudy tonight. Ditto Friday with an occasional flurry

WOODLAND PARK: Low – 24, High – 40. Mostly cloudy tonight. Mostly cloudy Friday.

TRI-LAKES: Low – 25, High – 43.  Mostly cloudy tonight. Ditto Friday.

PLAINS: Low – 30, High – 54.  Mostly cloudy tonight. Mostly cloudy Friday.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low – 29, High – 52.  Mostly cloudy tonight with a few flurries. Ditto Friday.

EXTENDED OUTLOOK: Warming up to the 50s Monday, nearing 60F Tuesday, turning gradually colder Wed/Thu.
