Today’s Forecast:
Get ready for a fantastic fall day! Strong sunshine and warm afternoon temperatures will work together to melt down any remaining snow across the lower elevations, and keep roads muddy up in the high terrain. The winds will stay light today but that will only make the afternoon more enjoyable. Tonight a clear sky and light winds means temperatures will sink back below freezing.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 62; Low – 30. Sunny, dry and beautiful through the afternoon.

PUEBLO: High – 65; Low – 24. Sunny and gorgeous through the afternoon with light winds.

CANON CITY: High – 63; Low – 33. Sunny, dry and beautiful with calm afternoon winds.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 52; Low – 24. Sunny and warmer with light winds and mountain snow melt.

TRI-LAKES: High – 50s; Low – 20s. Sunny and beautiful with mild afternoon temperatures.

PLAINS: High – 60s; Low – 20s. Sunny skies with stunning afternoon temperatures.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 50/60s; Low – 20s. Sunny skies with very beautiful temperatures.

EXTENDED OUTLOOK:
Friday looks like clone of today with continued sunshine and highs only about a degree warmer than this afternoon. A very strong cold front is set to move across southern Colorado on Saturday, shaving 30 degrees off our high temperatures. Light snow is possible on Saturday, anytime from the afternoon into the overnight hours. Accumulations for Springs looks to stay well below an inch, with flurries more likely than anything. The Palmer Divide and Pikes Peak region mountains would have the best chance for seeing snow up to one inch, but overall this looks like a pretty weak system.
