The forecast this afternoon looks amazing! Warm air from the weekend will stick around through the end of the day, even with cloud cover thickening up through the evening. The breeze will be stronger at the end of the day, especially around Colorado Springs. There could be a few showers off the back sides of the Sangres, but most of the area will stay dry and warm.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 69; Low – 40. Building cloud cover through the afternoon with a strong afternoon breeze and highs into the upper 60s.

PUEBLO: High – 74; Low – 41. Building cloud cover with very nice afternoon temperatures and a light breeze.

CANON CITY: High – 72; Low – 43. Fantastic afternoon temperatures with building afternoon clouds.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 60; Low – 36. Building cloud cover, especially at the end of the day, with mild afternoon temperatures.

TRI-LAKES: High – 60s; Low – 30s. Building clouds by the end of the day with a strong breeze and beautiful high temperatures.

PLAINS: High – 70s; Low – 40s. Very warm air along highway 50s but south of the highway heavier cloud cover will hold temperatures closer to the low 70s, still a gorgeous day.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 60s; Low – 40s. A mix of clouds and sunshine with fairly mild temperatures and a touch of rain possible off the western slopes of the Sangres through the afternoon.

EXTENDED OUTLOOK:
Rain returns to the forecast Tuesday through Wednesday with heavy cloud cover and much cooler temperatures. The timing for rain in Springs and Pueblo looks best from Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning with small accumulations. There could be some snow over some of the higher terrain but no impactful accumulation is expected.
