and last updated

Cool is the rule, but only for a day and a half.

Clearly, a cool front has brought the recent record heat to an end. Clouded skies, will rapidly clear up now, and dry weather will resume through Monday afternoon. As the air mass sits overhead, it modifies…ie…warms up with time, which will happen Saturday through Monday, back into the high 70s to mid 80s.

Colorado Springs: Low: 46, High: 68. Becoming clear this evening, cool overnight. Sunny Friday, but cool.

Pueblo: Low: 48, High: 75. Clear and cool tonight. Sunny Friday, but cool.

Canon City: Low: 49, High: 73. Becoming clear this evening, cool overnight. Sunny and cool, Friday.

Woodland Park: Low: 39, High: 62. Clear and chill tonight. Sunny and chilly Friday.

Tri-Lakes: Low: 44, High: 65. Clear and chill tonight. Sunny and cool Friday.

The Plains: Low: 53, High: 76. Becoming clear this evening, cool overnight. Sunny and mild, Friday.

Trinidad/Walsenburg: Low: 52, High: 73. Becoming clear this evening. Sunny and mild, Friday.

Extended Outlook…High and dry over the weekend, with the air modifying (warming with time.) Our next rain chance could be as soon as Monday evening, but is more likely Tuesday. And fyi, still no “first frost” in site, yet.
