Today’s Forecast:
Skies have cleared overnight and sunshine will prevail today. A few areas of pm clouds, especially for the higher elevations west of I-25, but a mainly sunny and dry day is heading our way. Today we transition towards a hot pattern that will be with us for the rest of the week. After a cool end to the weekend we’ll warm to near average in the 80’s for our afternoon highs.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 82; Low – 54. Sunny and warmer to start the new work week.

PUEBLO: High – 89; Low – 53. Dry skies and warmer temperatures.

CANON CITY: High – 86; Low – 58. Mainly sunny and warmer by this afternoon.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 73; Low – 50. A milder day with a good deal of sunshine.

TRI-LAKES: High – 70’s; Low – Near 50. Sunshine and dry conditions with milder temperatures.

PLAINS: High – 80’s; Low – 50’s. A sunny day with warmer afternoon highs.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 80’s; Low – 50’s. Lots of sunshine today with closer to average high temperatures.

REST OF THE WEEK
An upper level ridge builds in and dominates our weather pattern for the rest of the week. The heat kicks in on Tuesday and lasts through the end of the work week. Highs will soar into the 90’s and 100’s each day. Wednesday and Thursday look to be the hottest days, but every day will be well above average. Skies will be mainly sunny with just a few areas of pm cloud cover. Rain chances are minimal to non-existent. A chance for a few sprinkles on Wednesday will be about it during the work week. We should see a little bit of relief from the heat heading into the weekend. Highs cool into the 80’s and low 90’s. We could have a slight chance for a few showers/storms in the mix, but that’s not a very strong chance and still a subject to change.
