COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 94; Low – 60. Hot and mainly dry today with morning sunshine and heavier afternoon clouds. Spotty showers are possible across the city if we can get any storms to pop over the mountains west of the city. The wind will be stronger this afternoon.

PUEBLO: High – 102; Low – 64. Very hot and mainly dry today with a stronger afternoon wind. The only real chance for rain in Pueblo would be any showers that pop over the Wet mountains moving east into the city, but that chance is very low.

CANON CITY: High – 98; Low – 65. Mainly looking dry and hot today with morning sunshine and heavier afternoon clouds.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 82; Low – 53. A few spotty late afternoon thunderstorms are possible but most of that action would be confined to the mountains. Looking very warm with a steady afternoon breeze.

TRI-LAKES: High – 80s; Low – 50s. Mainly hot today and breezy through the afternoon. A quick shower or thunderstorm is possible at the end of the day from any storms that generate over the higher terrain west of the area.

PLAINS: High – 90s/100s; Low – 60s. Very hot and dry today with a stronger afternoon wind and widespread triple digit temperatures along highway 50.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 90s; Low – 60s. Hot and windy today with mostly dry conditions expected, an isolated shower over the mountains is possible.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK OR NEXT WEATHER MAKER
Tropical Storm Bud will bring tremendous moisture into Colorado this weekend, especially across southwestern Colorado and into the Continental Divide. This surge of moisture should really help quench the 416 fire and give the state much needed moisture. Southern Colorado has a decent chance for some of that moisture to spread to the Front Range Saturday but the best chance really looks to be Sunday as that moisture source spreads east of the Continental Divide. Temperatures will cool into this coming week with daily, or near daily thunderstorm chances.
