Tonight’s Forecast:
The heat builds, once again, for Thursday…and stays with us through Friday.
Perhaps, the most interesting thing about the up coming weather, is the influence Tropical Storm "Bud" might have for us. There is a double edged sword to this…because on the one side, we could really get some very beneficial rains from this system as it peeters out and crashes into the the Gulf of California, over Cabo San Lucas, Friday and Saturday. On the flip side, the ground being so dry, could not possibly absorb heavy rains and multiple storms moving through, so there is a real potential for urban and street flooding if it comes to fruition…until the moisture could be absorbed.
As mentioned last weekend, the tropical system (Bud) would feed moisture up the spine of the Rockies this weekend, and bring rounds of T-showers, with the heaviest being during the day Saturday. It would definitely cool things off, in the process, so that explains why the 7 day forecast is as it is.

TRI-LAKES: Low – 55, High – 88. Tonight, storms end early, clearing skies. Mostly sunny & hot Thursday.
PLAINS: Low – 65, High – 101. Tonight, clearing skies. Mostly sunny & hot Thursday.

NEXT WEATHER MAKER: The weekend becomes interesting, as the remnants of a Tropical Storm (Bud) appear to impact us by pouring in a bunch of moisture, to fan multiple rounds of storms, the heaviest of which look to be Saturday. Frequently, in the wake of such systems, it is common for the atmosphere to cool and stabilize, so that storms are less likely Sunday through Tuesday of next week.
