Trinidad School District Number 1: Ballot Issue 4A Mill Levy Override
SHALL TRINIDAD SCHOOL DISTRICT NUMBER 1 TAXES BE INCREASED UP TO $595,000 ANNUALLY FOR A LIMITED TEN (10) YEAR PERIOD (COMMENCING IN COLLECTION YEAR 2019 AND ENDING AFTER COLLECTION YEAR 2028), BY THE IMPOSITION OF AN ADDITIONAL MILL LEVY NOT TO EXCEED 5.02 MILLS UPON TAXABLE REAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE SCHOOL DISTRICT, SUCH REVENUES TO BE COLLECTED, RETAINED AND SPENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF:
· RESTORE A PORTION OF THE STATE’S SCHOOL FUNDING CUTS NECESSARY TO RECRUIT, TRAIN AND RETAIN QUALITY TEACHERS,
· RENOVATION AND REPAIR OF EXISTING FACILITIES AND GROUNDS,
· ACQUISITION AND MAINTAINANCE OF SCHOOL BUSES AND VEHICLES, AND
· PROVIDE STUDENTS AND STAFF WITH TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE AND EQUIPMENT UPGRADES,
BY A PROPERTY TAX TO BE LEVIED AT A RATE NOT TO EXCEED 5.02 MILLS WHICH IS SUFFICIENT TO ANNUALLY PRODUCE THE AMOUNT SPECIFIED ABOVE, WHICH TAXES SHALL BE DEPOSITED INTO THE GENERAL FUND OF THE DISTRICT, SHALL BE IN ADDITION TO THE PROPERTY TAXES THAT OTHERWISE WOULD BE LEVIED FOR THE GENERAL FUND AND SHALL CONSTITUTE A VOTER APPROVED REVENUE CHANGE?
