OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Uvaldo Luna scored the game-winning goal in the 78th minute as Switchbacks FC topped OKC Energy FC 2-1 in their USL season opener at Taft Stadium.
Setting the tone against his former team, Christian Volesky scored Colorado Springs' first goal of the season in the 16th minute.
It is the first win for new head coach Alan Koch and a team which won just seven games all of last season.
Switchbacks FC will look to continue their strong play when they host San Antonio FC at Weidner Field next Saturday. Kick-off is set for 3:30 p.m.
