SOUTHERN COLORADO — Just because COVID-19 has forced high schools across the country to move to e-learning does not mean some high school athletes moving onto the college athletic ranks won't get their time in the spotlight.
On Saturday, 14 high school runners, who are a part of the Kokopelli running group run by Lisa Rainsberger, signed their national letters of intent to run at the collegiate level.
The following students will be running at the following schools:

Matthew Mettler - Mines
Ian Rainsberger - Western Colorado
Matt Storer - Western Colorado

Grace Abernethy - undecided

Abigail Braun - University of Wyoming
Jeremy Killoy - Western Colorado

All 14 athletes had their moment to thank their friends and family, while coach Lisa gave a short story about each runner and how far they have come.
