Former CU Buff quarterback Steven Montez and wide receiver Tony Brown hoped to hear their named called in the NFL draft, but that didn't happen.

Instead both are taking the undrafted route, signing with teams after the conclusion of the draft.

According to reports, Montez signed with the Washington Redskins, while Brown will head to Cleveland.

Montez was a three-year starter at Colorado, throwing for more than 9,700 yards and 63 total touchdowns. He broke 45 school records during his time at CU.

Brown, who began his career at Texas Tech, played in 12 games this past year with 56 catches for 707 yards and a team-leading 5 touchdown passes.

Three other Buffs were selected in the NFL draft, as wide out Laviska Shenault was drafted in the second round of the NFL draft, while the Eagles selected linebacker Davion Taylor in third round.

Offensive lineman Arlington Hambright was selected in the 7th round of the NFL draft by the Chicago Bears.
