MONUMENT – It appears that Palmer Ridge Senior Quarterback Ty Evans will not quarterback the Colorado Buffaloes after all.
Evans announced on Twitter Monday night that he flipped his commitment from Colorado to NC State, in a definite win for Wolfpack head coach Dave Doeren and a loss for the Buffaloes.

The move comes in the wake of CU firing head coach Mike MacIntyre and hiring former Georgia defensive coordinator Mel Tucker to replace him.
According to Rivals.com, Evans also had offers from major power 5 programs including Alabama, Michigan, Texas A&M, South Carolina and Kansas State among others.
Ty Evans was ranked as a three-star recruit by Rivals and ESPN. He led the Palmer Ridge Bears to back-to-back state titles in 3A football, with the most recent title on Dec. 1 with a 47-38 win over Pueblo East.
Evans was also named the 2017-2018 Gatorade Colorado Football Player of the Year.
