The undefeated Bears were looking to make history on Friday when they take on Loveland, becoming the second team to win 4 straight in over 50 years.

Palmer Ridge is led by a loaded senior class that has yet to end the season without a state title trophy.

On the other hand, the Lamar Savages are looking to win their first state title in over 60 years.

Lamar faced the Eaton Reds on Friday coming away with a 28-21 loss.

The team was playing for a teammate who could not suit up this year due to a rare blood disease called aplastic-anemia. Jesus Gonzalez, a senior at Lamar, has been a source of inspiration for the Savages.

After receiving a bone marrow donation from his sister, the Gonzalez family is optimistic Zeus will make a full recovery and attend the state title game, were he has one wish: for Lamar to take home the state title trophy for the first time since 1961.
