COLORADO SPRINGS – Mail-in ballots continue to arrive for the Colorado Springs City Election on April second.
The Clerk’s office tells us as of Thursday 28,000 ballots have been returned. After signature verification, they are separated and counted.
Election officials say normal turnout is between 30 to 40 percent, but so far numbers are a little low.
“We are a little behind, but not drastically behind,” said City Clerk Sarah Johnson. “We’re where we used to be. That data is also available on our website if people want to look and see how many ballots we have returned.”
To ensure your ballot counts it should be mailed by next Tuesday, March 26. Ballots have to be received by 7 p.m. on April 2.
