PUEBLO – Members of Pueblo’s Mountain MOPAR club are teaming up with the Colorado Dodge Challenger’s club to raise money for Trunks for Tots, an organization that donates toys to children in hospitals.

Trunks for Tots is a non-profit that raises money and takes in donations year-round. These donations are then redistributed during the holiday season to hospitals that care for children.

Since the organization was founded 4 years ago, thousands of dollars and thousands of toys have been distributed to Children’s hospitals in Colorado.

This year, the group’s dedicated efforts will gather toys and funds for toys that will go to Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo and Anschutz in Aurora.

The organization has already hosted one toy drive this week and will host another one Thursday, Dec. 6 in the Pueblo West Walmart parking lot at 6 p.m.

On Saturday, the group will sell breakfast burritos at Trading Post in Pueblo from 9-10:30 a.m. with proceeds benefitting the group.

Following this event, TFT will deliver its donated toys to Parkview at around 11 a.m.

“There’s so much negativity in our world, we hope that these kids and parents too see that there are still people out there who want to do things like this,” commented Baker.

As for the future, Travis hopes that the organization can spread across the state and maybe someday it can spread around the country.
