(COLORADO SPRINGS) – It’s massive, metal, half octopus, and now lives on a rooftop near you.

Weighing in at 4,200 pounds and comprised exclusively of reclaimed steel, this unique structure named Iscariot, has just been mounted near the corner of Colorado Avenue and I-25. It’s part of the Downtown partnership and their affiliates’ ongoing mission to create unique cultural experiences for Springs residents and visitors to the area.

The mission is known as Art on the Street, “That’s the whole point of Art on the Street, you don’t need a museum pass, you don’t need an art degree, you don’t even need to go out of your daily routine in order to have a cultural experience,” commented Claire Swinford, the urban engagement manager for the Downtown partnership of Colorado Springs.
