Two men arrested in connection with San Luis Valley human remains case, man nicknamed 'Psycho' faces new charges

ALAMOSA — Two Alamosa men have been arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation involving human remains found in San Luis Valley in late 2020.

According to Southern Colorado Law Enforcement Task Force, Alamosa Police Department arrested Julius Baroz and CJ Dominguez on January 18 for their alleged involvement in the homicide of Myron Martinez whose remains were discovered in Conejos County in November of 2020. Adre"Psycho" Baroz faces new additional charges related to this case.

Julius Baroz is facing First Degree Murder charges in addition to Tampering with Deceased Human Remains. He is being held in Alamosa County Detention Center on $250,000 bond.

Dominguez is facing charges of Tampering with Deceased Human Remains, First Degree Murder, and Second Degree Kidnapping. He is also being held in Alamosa County Detention Center. His bond is set to $100,000.

"Psycho" now faces two additional charges of First Degree Murder and another two charges of Tampering with Deceased Human Remains related to the deaths of Shayla Hammel and Myron Martinez. He is also doing time in the same detention center, but he is being held without bond.
