Man arrested for first-degree assault in Pueblo shooting, victim in critical condition

PUEBLO — A man who was shot Thursday afternoon is in critical condition after officers found him in front of a house off Norwich Avenue, according to the Pueblo Police Department.

The department said officers responded just before 2:50 p.m. to the home in the 2900 block of Norwich Avenue, shutting down West 29th Street for a period of time for the investigation.

The police stated Friday morning that 24-year-old Ricardo Gomez was arrested for first-degree assault in connection to the case. The man who was shot was taken to the hospital and remains in critical condition.
