COLORADO SPRINGS — A man was arrested on Thursday in Colorado Springs for reportedly making threats to use explosives to blow up government buildings.
According to police, the Colorado Springs Police Department - Gold Hill Division was notified by Metro VNI and the FBI JTTF Colorado Springs that Shawn Wallace was on his way to the substation and claimed to have explosives in his truck.
Surveillance cameras spotted his truck, and a high risk traffic stop was conducted. Wallace was arrested without incident.
Authorities searched his truck and no explosives were found.
Wallace was also wanted out of Virginia on a warrant for obscene communication.
