WOODLAND PARK — Business owners in Woodland Park say they did not know what to expect for this year's Small Business Saturday, or as they call it, Shop Small Saturday.
"We have been excited, but we have also not been knowing how it is going to turn out. Everyday is either a busy day or not a busy day," said Pam Mikesell, owner of Miss Priss.
To encourage shoppers to get out on Saturday, Woodland Main Street put together a bag full of coupons, deals, and incentives for its customers.
"You stop at the tent that is out in the courtyard and you get your bag!" said Mikesell.
Pam Mikesell, owner of Miss Priss, says she has seen just about the same crowd this year as previous years.
"We have been really busy. I feel like Shop Small is very productive this year," said Mikesell.
Just down the street from Miss Priss, sits William's Log Cabin furniture.
"Today will be, support the small businesses which we very much appreciate that," said Jerry Good, co-owner of William's Log Cabin Furniture.
Good says while this year has been a roller coaster ride for his business, Shop Small has allowed him to re-connect with his customers.
"It's just a matter of smiling and seeing the smiles on people's faces," said Good.
