Winter Park Ski Resort is now open for the 2019-2020 winter season.

The resort marked its 80th opening day in a big way with its earliest start date ever.

“Mother Nature brought the snow to Winter Park especially early this year, so we are taking advantage of the conditions and are excited to open the mountain more than a week earlier than expected,” said Marketing Director Liz Agostin.

Winter Park saw over 40 inches of snow in October. That combined with $4 million in upgrades to its snowmaking system to allow for an early season.

The mountain is offering a special deal later this month. Lift tickets will cost just $40 per person on November 16, with a minimum purchase of two tickets.
