ELLICOTT — A 71-year-old UPS truck driver died after a single-vehicle crash ejected him Thursday on Highway 94, according to Colorado State Patrol.
Troopers said Don Buckner, of Colorado Springs, was driving his truck and traveling west on Highway 94 three miles east of Ellicott before 9 p.m. CSP determined the truck went off the right side of the road, rolled over and Buckner was ejected.
Buckner was airlifted and flown Flight for Life to Memorial Hospital where he later died. Troopers said he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
State Patrol is still investigating the crash, but they do not believe speed or alcohol are factors.
