GREELEY, Colo. — Two men died while working at a manufacturing plant in Greeley on Monday.

The men — who were identified Friday as Odaniz Javier Ortiz Quinones, 25, of Greeley, and Joseph Samuel Jarvis, Jr., 47, of Greensboro, North Carolina — were working on the roof at Leprino Foods, along the 1300 block of First Avenue, according to the Weld County Coroner's Office.

According to reports, a high-pressure pipe that was part of a pipe extension project suddenly discharged, killing the two men instantly.

A third worker was also injured but is expected to survive.

According to the coroner’s office, no noxious gases or hazardous materials were released.

Both men were working on behalf of a welding subcontractor based outside Colorado.

This incident is under investigation by local, state and federal authorities.
