COLORADO SPRINGS — A Colorado Springs business was the target of a burglary early Thursday morning after a truck drove through the front of the building, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.
The department said officers responded to the burglary just before 4:30 a.m. at Oasis at the Pond, described as a video arcade, off of Tejon Street.
A News5 crew on scene spoke with an employee who said they had just closed up the shop at 4 a.m. when he got a call from his manager that a vehicle had driven through the building. Police said when they arrived, they found the suspect vehicle.
Authorities searched the building and they were not able to find anyone inside, but they found an ATM machine with signs that at least one suspect tried to take money out of it. Officers did not specify whether there was one or more suspects involved.
The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the department at (719) 444-7000.
