AGUILAR — A small town in southern Colorado is honoring its high school graduates.
Aguilar High School, like most schools in Colorado, had to close down because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The principal wanted to honor the eight graduates for their hard work, so banners of each student were hung in town.
"When you first see them it chokes you up because we have known these kids since they were small and to see them and realize that they are really going somewhere now, it is an honor," Prinicpal Elizabeth Jameson said.
The high school will be having a drive-thru graduation for the seniors.
